I thought I was spoilt on mother’s day with my pancakes in bed, but Megan got the best mother’s day present ever.. Beautiful Mackenzie!

Megan’s house was beautiful and warm and Mackenzie was well fed and undressed ready for her photo shoot when I arrived. This made my job so much easier and we were able to get a huge range of photos with Mackenzie sleeping peacefully.

Thanks for making my job so easy Megan and Adam. Mackenzie is absolutely beautiful, congrats guys. I can’t wait to show you rest.

This post has been emotionally hard for me to write. It is about THE FRIEND. You know the only one other person besides your partner that gets you. Leilah is this friend.

We are opposites really. She is the loud clumsy one and I’m the quiet exact one. But somehow we glue together.

Leilah is the type of person that always has a smile on her face and she never stops talking. So it wasn’t surprising that she found Greg who also never stops talking.

They are a perfect fit. As awesome as they are as a couple, as parents they really shine. They are my first port of call for parenting advice even though I have been doing this a couple of months longer than them.

Amelia and Nicholas are beautiful. Amelia is so much a girl, careful and quiet. Nicholas is all boy. He can climb anything and everything and is always on the go.

Greg is leaving to work in the Solomon Islands for 6 months for the federal police. So I wanted to get the most beautiful photos that I have ever taken for them. I know it’s going to be hard for Leilah while he is away, I have experienced something similar with my husband working away. But their strength, love and courage will get them through.

Guys I so hope you love these, enjoy your weekend away together.

Archie was keen to make his entrance into this world, arriving 2 weeks early. You would probably expect him to be alert, and ready to face this world head on. But he was content, very sleepy and the most chilled little guy. I think he was just as excited to meet his mum and dad face to face as they were to meet him. He was so cuddly, how lucky am I that I have a job were I get to meet and cuddle these beautiful and precious new souls.

This one is mine, meet Owen! 2 years old and deep in tantrum territory. He’s naughty, he’s cheeky and he is our little miracle. He amazes me everyday, his personality is so different to mine and my husbands. He is feisty, demanding and very stubborn (actually he does get this from me). He has red hair, and no immediate family of ours has?? he is tall, he has blue eyes and has the 2 cutest little freckles on the top of his nose. He is quirky and has the strangest sense of humour. He loves to jump on trampolines, beds, couches, off chairs. He is obsessed with trains and the movie polar express. He doesn’t eat, hates going shopping and loves chooks/ chickens (the real ones). He can color in better than me and is fully toilet trained. Even though he has been the biggest challenge of my life, I wouldn’t change him for the world…

I’m so excited to finally announce that we are officially back in business!! I have put up a summary of the price list on the website. For the full price list please email me at info@motherandbabyart.com.au. Those who have already enquired I have emailed you a copy of the price list also.

And to celebrate the first 5 booked newborn sessions will receive 24 complimentary 5×7” Birth Announcement cards valued at $60.

A little more info about Mother and Baby Art…

Due to being a full time mother as well as a a photographer. There will only be a limited number of sessions each month. If you are pregnant and wanting a newborn photo shoot Please ring and book in your session while you are still pregnant. Newborn shoots are best done when your baby is between 6 and 12 days. They are so sleepy and so bendy at this stage.

Maternity shoots will now be complimentary when you book and pay for a newborn session. However you don’t have to have the maternity shoot if you don’t want to. Maternity photos are beautiful extras/memories to have along side your newborn photos in an album or displayed on the wall. A maternity shoot only takes about an hour and you will have 8 – 12 images to choose from.

I have some beautiful products for you to choose from and to display your images. I hope to have some product shots of these soon!

Boys!!

I had the pleasure of photographing these gorgeous brothers. 2 year old twins Taylor and Kiran and big brother Jayden are typical boys… always on the go! but sooo much fun. Naomi It’s been lovely getting to know you and your boys. Your ability to remain calm in the most trying of circumstances is so inspiring. Seeing you with your 3 boys and the love that you radiate, makes me want to be a better mother. Greg it was lovely meeting you, I had heard lots about you from Jayden. We will miss you all!

We are moving!

Due to my husband been offered a new awesome job opportunity, Mother and Baby Art (and the Troy family) are moving back to Canberra.

It’s going to take us a few weeks to get organised and packed and so unfortunately I will be not be taking on any new clients on the Sunshine Coast.

After this scorching heat today, I’m looking forward to the cold weather!!

Hopefully the next time I post we will be all settled in Canberra.
