What can I say about Max besides him being perfectly behaved. Well he has the coolest hair which is already shaped into a mohawk. He has the most beautiful lips and perfect button nose. He is loved so much. I could say he is the cutest baby but you can see that in his photos. I loved every minute I spent with him and wanted to badly sneak him in to my camera bag and take him home. Mum and Dad I hope you love the photos as much as I do. It was lovely meeting you Mel and Grandma today and of course Max.

Meet Maya; cheeky, beautiful, loves to blow raspberries, chubby and absolutely adored by her parents. I watched her get bathed, I watched her get rocked to sleep and I think I could of watched her mum’s love for her all day.

Archie was keen to make his entrance into this world, arriving 2 weeks early. You would probably expect him to be alert, and ready to face this world head on. But he was content, very sleepy and the most chilled little guy. I think he was just as excited to meet his mum and dad face to face as they were to meet him. He was so cuddly, how lucky am I that I have a job were I get to meet and cuddle these beautiful and precious new souls.

I just love photographing mothers to be, the anticipation and the excitement is contagious. I know it is cliche to say pregnant women have a “glow” about them, but my maternity client today was absolutely glowing. You could feel her excitement waiting for her new bundle of joy to be born very soon and I can’t wait to photograph him.

Mother and Baby Art has just commenced business on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. Gemma Troy (this is me) is the face behind Mother and Baby Art. My passion is photographing newborns and mothers-to-be. I love the simplicity of black and white photographs and using light to create images that you are going to love and cherish forever.
